Q: What should I do in case of an emergency?

A: In the event you or a loved one experiences an emergency, either during or after office hours, please call 9-1-1 immediately or go to the nearest emergency room.

Q: Do you accept my insurance?

A: Please see our financial and insurance policies.

Q. What can I expect at my first visit?

A: Please arrive 15-30 minutes early to your scheduled appointment to complete the necessary patient forms for your visit. In addition, please bring the following to assist us with your care:

  • Driver’s license or photo ID
  • Insurance card
  • List of medications (prescription, over-the-counter, vitamins and supplements)
  • Copy of recent lab/test results

During your initial appointment, we will thoroughly discuss your medical history, family history and any symptoms you may be experiencing. Your cardiologist will perform a thorough physical examination and any necessary diagnostic testing.

Q: What do I bring to my appointment?

A: For every appointment, please bring an identification card and current and verifiable insurance card(s). If you are a new patient, please bring the new patient forms available to print on our website.

Q: When will my lab results be ready?

A: Lab results are available after they have been reviewed by your physician. You may view lab results via our Patient Portal.

Q: How do I refill my prescription?

A: Prescriptions refill services are available during regular business hours.  If you have a prescription that needs to be re-filled, please contact the pharmacy that initially filled the prescription for you.  The pharmacy will contact our office for refill approval. 

Please allow at least 24 hours for the refill process. If you need a new prescription or there are changes to your current prescription, please contact our office via our Patient Portal during any time of the day or by calling during normal business hours.

Q. How can I get a copy of my records?

A: Contact our office to request a copy of your records. You will need to complete an authorization form in order to have the information released. Depending on the reason for the request, there may be a processing fee to obtain a copy. Please allow at least five business days to receive your copy.

Q. Do I need to see my primary physician in addition to seeing my cardiologist?

A: Yes, it is important to continue seeing your primary physician during your care with us to ensure the quality of your overall health. 

Q. Do I need a referral?

A: You do not need a referral from another physician in order to schedule an appointment with us unless your insurance company (usually an HMO) requires one.  However, we will need a copy of your pertinent medical records to provide us with the necessary information to give you the appropriate level of care.
